Jari Leskinen appointed as the new Chairman of the Board of Tapro Oy
As of December 17, 2021, Jari Leskinen has been appointed as Chairman of the board of Tapro Oy. Jussi Nakari will continue in his role as CEO and a board member.
Jari Leskinen has previously worked as the CEO and the Chairman of the Board of ÅF-Consult Oy and has an extensive international management background in the energy industry as well as consulting and export projects.
“Tapro has been familiar to me as a company for a couple of decades. While working at Fortum, Enprima, ÅF and most recently at AFRY, Tapro has been and continues to be a reliable partner in our domestic and international projects. I see that Tapro, as a company with long international experience, but still an agile and cost-effective company, has excellent opportunities for growth, for example by expanding its service offering to existing and new customers in the transition to a carbon-free future. I am really excited to be involved in developing Tapro towards future success ” comments Jari Leskinen.
Tapro is in a situation where the business environment and customers' needs have changed and it must be possible to develop its own operations accordingly. Tapro has been a family business for more than 30 years and has not previously had external members on its board. This approach has worked so far, but different skills and new perspectives are needed for the future. Jari has very long international experience in industrial and energy sector projects, as well as diverse positions in company management and boards. Jari has also known Tapro for a long time. I am very pleased to have a person like Jari lead the board and develop Tapro's strategy and operations to serve existing and new customers even better, says Jussi Nakari.
